NFC
A badge held close, and the page is open.
The same short code, the same payment screen — but the guest holds their phone to a badge instead of aiming at a QR. Useful when the light is bad, when hands are full, or when the waiter carries their tip on them.
How it works
Three steps, nothing to install.
01
You program the chip
The address to write on the badge is in the dashboard. The short code does not change: QR and NFC lead to the same place.
02
The guest holds their phone close
No app, no pairing. The page opens exactly as it does on a scan.
03
Taps are counted separately
Scans and taps are never added together: it is the only way to know whether the badges are used at all.
Taps per badge per week, against scans
Pilot programme measurements will be published with the written consent of the businesses involved.
Start with one table.
One QR, a suggested amount, a share landing on the right balance. The rest follows.
